Taco Truck Wisdom

So we have a tradition in our family that on our children's Birthday they select what they would like for dinner.  We can go out to dinner, or I can prepare them their favorite meal.  It has always worked well for us, and seems very 1950s...I just love it.

Until this year.  My sweet little angel K decided that on her day of birth she wanted to eat at the Taco Truck.  Now, I am not a snob.  I freaking love eating at the Taco Truck.  Anytime 5 people can eat for 15 bucks, I am THRILLED.  However, K's birthday is in December.  It was pouring rain.  It was cold.  True to tradition, we headed out for her birthday dinner.

We were freezing, we were covered in mud, we ate in the dark, and I am pretty sure we saw a drug deal go down.

Maybe our tradition needs to be revamped.
